Congratulations Sandra - Bootcamper of the Program for September, 2011!

Congratulations to Sandra - from the EC location!

Thank you so much for selecting me as Bootcamper of the Program.

I have been a Body Buster member since February 2010.  I thought it would be interesting to try it for a month and signed up for a 1 year program the following session and I haven’t regretted it for a second.

There are so many things that I like about the Body Buster Program but I would have to say that the support and encouragement from being in a class has to be the best part.  Everyone in the EC 7:30pm class is so supportive of each other, especially our instructor Kara, she has a way of encouraging us to give that "little bit more" even when we feel we can't do any more and she's usually right.

I have been building up muscle (especially in my arms) since joining Body Busters and although this means I haven’t lost weight that doesn't bother me a bit.  The difference has really been in the way my clothes fit, look and feel which shows how my body has changed over the past year and a half.  It’s so nice to pull out my clothes for the next season and know that they will still fit and I don’t have to start looking for new things in a bigger size.

The feeling of accomplishment you come away with from every single class makes me want to come back for more every class and every session.  I never thought that I would be doing push ups from my toes or running a full 1km but I can do both now and it just makes me feel good about myself.  I love the people in my class, they really are the best!! The encouragement we give to each other and the laughs we share really make me want to come to class even when it's so tempting to just stay home on the couch.

Throughout my time with Body Busters my cardio has improved tremendously and my stress has gone down as well. I feel so good and healthy overall because I'm more careful about what I eat now especially knowing what it takes to work it off.   After a busy day at work it's so great to know that I can look forward to Body Buster to get rid of my stress.  I sleep better now and have so much more energy, which as every working mom knows, you can never have enough of either.

I have gained so much it's hard to know where to start but I would have to say that the most important thing that I have gained from Body Busters is self confidence.  I have been able to prove to myself that I can get better each week and each program.  The Body Buster Program has helped me to realize that I can do things I never thought I could before and it's made me less afraid to try new things.   I have learned that you really do get out of the class what you put into it and on the nights when I didn't give it my all I really felt like I let myself down.

I have to say that Body Buster has been and continues to be a great experience for me.  I really look forward to my classes and wonder what might be in store and Kara never fails to deliver new challenges and tons of encouragement and support.

Body Buster would like to congratulate you on your accomplishment!

Run for a Cure with Team Body Buster!

We are less than one month away from the pink fitness event of the year - the 2011 CIBC Run for the Cure in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.  That leaves you one month to get your fitness mojo on and join Team Body Buster.**

This is the perfect event for bootcampers due to the options - walk or run 5 kilometers, or walk/run 1 kilometer.  And to do so in a sea of pink - pink wigs, face paint, cowboy hats, ribbons, attire, you name it - is a phenomenal feeling.  Team Body Buster currently sits at 10 participants; and how much that team grows in size can be reflected by our colour of inspiration - pink of course.  Ballet pink if we beat our team number from last year, which was 29, and then hot fuchsia if we hit 40.  40 would be incredible, and there is a connection - the fourth year that Body Buster Fitness has had a team in the Run for the Cure, and Body Buster is four years old!!

Do not hesitate - get your bootcamp bod on our team!   Easy to do - go to the CIBC Run for the Cure website at http://www.runforthecure.com and register for Team Body Buster.  (Having any difficulties, email me (Tanya, your team captain) at theimolas@yahoo.ca.  From the website you can then set up your own fundraising page, send notices out to friends and family, post pictures, the works.

If you really truly cannot participate this year, then please consider supporting the team financially.  Last year, the Run earned the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation $33 million, all used to support breast cancer research, and education and awareness programs.  So it ALL goes to a good cause.  Again, donating is as easy as registering, so just follow the steps on the website.

Next I'll share with you a 'secret weapon' for successful runs, from Runners World.  Stay tuned (hint, hint).

See you all in a month!!   Go Team Body Buster!

T

**Register for the team online by Friday, September 18th and your free participant shirt will have Team BodyBuster emblazoned in pink across the back.

Congratulations Jessica - Bootcamper of the Program for August, 2011!

Congratulations to Jessica - from the HP location!

I have been a body buster member since January 2011 though it feels like I've been doing it forever. which is a very good thing.

I love the results that body buster gives me. it is a lot of work, but it really pays off. i also find dani to be the most encouraging teacher i have come across, and a good teacher makes all the difference, not only in encouraging you to do it, but making you want to do it.

I have lost the last 15 pounds of baby weight from my second child and enough inches that i am wearing smaller sizes than i have ever worn.

It has become part of my life style. at first it was to lose the baby weight, then to get out of the house to clear my head, and now it is something i truly look forward to every week. it is a complete adrenaline rush that compares to no other workout i have ever done.

I feel fantastic. i have never been been a runner at any point in my life and now i have the desire to run whenever possible - with my kids, down the street, just to get to the car, in runners or heels, wherever!

I have gained a clearer mind and a lot more energy.

This has been a fantastic experience and continues to be every time i attend a class. i tell everyone i know that this is the best thing i have ever done. if you want to enjoy a workout, and enjoy your body, then body bust it. cheesy maybe, but totally true.

Body Buster would like to congratulate you on your accomplishment!
