Congratulations Melissa and Donovan! Bootcampers of the Program for February, 2011!

We would like to give a big congrats to Melissa & Donovan at the ES location!

We have been with BBF since April 2009 and are coming up on our second anniversary!
We love that each class is different - keeping it interesting, keeping our bodies challenged and our muscles guessing which is really important. But we probably love our instructor Kara most - her approach is the right mix of tough love and kick your butt encouragement. She really understands how to make us motivate ourselves.
I (Melissa) have gained weight but it's been in muscle. I (Donovan) have also gained a little weight in muscle. My cardio is much closer to when I was younger and was playing soccer almost every day. Muscularly, bootcamp has made me the fittest I've ever been.

We've continued because of how it makes us feel. It's tough, sure, but we almost always come away from a class feeling better than we did going to it. It's a great combination of cardio and strength training and Kara always keeps us challenged. Even after a long day at work and we're tired and sitting on the couch would be really easy - we remind ourselves how great we feel after the class and that gets us up and out the door.

The program makes us feel great about our overall health and fitness because we know we are taking care of it. Having someone like Kara who knows just the right thing to say and when to say it to get people like us (the 'not' newbies) to push it a little harder keeps the program challenging. We feel stronger and happier and know that at the end of each class - we've pushed it by working out hard. We also sleep a little better. :)
It's an activity we do together - which is remarkable considering the differences between us. It's also a form of exercise that works really well for us as a couple. People of different fitness levels, ages and background can workout together and we love the program is designed to suite everyone. We've met a lot of great people in the last 2 years and we genuinely miss our Bootcamp mates when they miss a class.  We just signed on for another full year - it's addictive and we highly recommend it!

Body Buster would like to congratulate both of you on your accomplishments!

Bootcamper of the Year for 2010 - Congratulations Julianne!

Congratulations Julianne R.
From the High Park location!

We're thrilled to say that next program Julianne will have been with us for 2 years!

Julianne says that two years ago, she planned on joining for only one program... and she has been with us ever since! In these two years, Julianne has gone down 3 dress sizes and lost about 15 pounds. She has seen amazing results and looks great!

Julianne always does her best in class, and works extremely hard. Even though she has a busy work and family life, Julianne has made Body Buster Bootcamp a part of her lifestyle. She always manages to come to class with a smile, and makes the effort to attend every single class. Even if she has to miss a class, she always tries her best to do her makeup class, and when "life happens" and schedules change, she has worked Body Buster in by simply switching locations for a program.

Being Bootcamper of the Year is about incorporating Body Buster Bootcamp into your life, which Julianne has definitely accomplished. Fitness and health is not just a quick fix, it is a way of life.

Three words to say about Julianne: Quiet, sweet... and a powerhouse! Over the past two years Julianne has greatly increased her muscular and cardio endurance, and has become generally stronger, healthier and she experiences an overall increased well-being.
AND she looks fantastic!

Julianne is an inspiration to others in her classes, and to us at Body Buster for being such a great Bootcamper. We are so proud of you Julianne and grateful to have you as a member! Thank you for being such a "die-hard" member, and for representing what Body Buster Bootcamp is truly about!

Congratulations again, and keep up the fantastic work.

Sincerely,

The Body Buster Team

Congratulations Margaret - Bootcamper of the Program for January, 2011!

Margaret - Well Done!
You are our Bootcamper of the Program!
I cannot believe that almost two years have gone by since joining Body Buster.  My first class was in April of 2009.  My girlfriend and I decided we wanted to get into shape for the summer and had heard fantastic things about boot camp.  I thought it was worth a shot because I dreaded going to the gym.  We did an internet search and chose Body Buster because it was close to home.  I’ve been hooked ever since.
There is so much that I love about the Body Buster Program.  I have to start off with our fantastic instructor Kara.  She keeps all of us motivated and encourages us to do our personal best in a safe, friendly environment.  The classes she plans are engaging and fun.  It is always a complete workout and I leave feeling that I have accomplished something.  I also enjoy sharing the experience with my classmates.  Seeing all the friendly faces each week and sharing the experience with them inspires me to try my best.  It is nice to have others around to share a laugh with when you are in pain and who keep you motivated to push through it.
I’ve lost 13 pounds since joining Body Buster and have gone down three jean sizes.  However, I don’t focus on what I’ve lost.  I am most proud of the endurance and muscle strength that I am gaining!!
Body Buster has become a part of my lifestyle.  I look forward to my Tuesday/Thursday workouts and the thought of not continuing doesn’t cross my mind.
My overall health has improved and it has rippled into all aspects of my life.  Not only do I see the results but I feel much better about myself.   I’m stronger, happier and more energetic!!!
This is going to sound clichĂ© but I feel that I have gained a new me.  Before Body Buster I despised running and wasn’t much for working out.  I still remember struggling to complete the one kilometer run my first class (it wasn’t really a run but more of a walk/jog combination).  I thought that I never would be able to run the full kilometer and envied the classmates that could.  But with the motivation of my instructor and the inspiration of my classmates I finally did complete the run and I continue to improve.  Now I enjoy running and sometimes catch myself doing it outside of class.  But most importantly I have gained confidence in myself.  I am proud of what I have achieved and happy that I am becoming a healthier person because of it.

Again, Congratulations Margaret! We are proud of you and your accomplishments!
